Named an NTIA 2026 finalist in Category 12
We are proud to announce that SportsLink Travel has been named an NTIA 2026 finalist in the category of Most Outstanding Specialist Travel Management Company.
The National Travel Industry Awards represent the highest level of recognition in the Australian travel industry, celebrating and acknowledging the determination, innovation and resilience of all involved. Being recognised among Australia’s leading specialist travel businesses is an honour we are incredibly proud of.
NTIA finalists are shortlisted on the top five ranked submissions in each category, with a sixth finalist added where the scoring is tied. Category 12 is one of those categories, with six finalists named.
“The closeness of the scoring is a testament to the level of professionalism across the board, and we’re excited to celebrate the hard work of the finalists at the NTIAs,” ATIA CEO Dean Long said.
What happens next
Reaching the shortlist took a long and detailed submission covering how we plan, quote and deliver sports travel, and how we look after groups when plans change mid-tour. The next stage is a live presentation to a judging panel, before the winners are announced at the NTIA Gala Awards.
What being an NTIA 2026 finalist reflects
For us, this recognition reflects more than the work of the past twelve months. It reflects the relationships we’ve built with sporting organisations, schools, athletes, supporters and industry partners over many years, and our commitment to delivering travel experiences that are reliable, personalised and professionally managed.
As Australia and New Zealand’s only sports-exclusive travel management company, we remain focused on doing what we’ve always done: helping people experience sport through seamless travel, backed by industry-leading standards and a team that genuinely cares. In practice that means school and club tours, group travel for sporting organisations, and supporter tours to the events people plan their year around.
Specialist sports travel is its own discipline. Squad numbers move, fixtures get rescheduled, kit and equipment have to fly with the team, and a delayed connection is not an inconvenience but a missed game. Planning around that is the work, and it is what a specialist travel management company is judged on.
It also rests on accreditation. SportsLink Travel is an ATAS accredited travel business, which means we are held to an industry code of conduct covering business standards, staff training and complaint handling. That matters more than it sounds when a squad’s flights, transfers, accommodation and venue timings all have to work together, and it is why industry accreditation matters when you are choosing who to travel with.
