Some partnerships you announce. Others you just keep living. For SportsLink Travel and Softball Victoria, it is happily the second kind.
We are proud to continue as Official Travel Partner for Softball Victoria, the crew behind the crew every time a Victorian squad packs the bats, zips the kit bags and heads for the airport. As Softball Victoria’s travel partner, our job is simple: make sure the only thing on their minds is the game waiting at the other end.
Softball Victoria has shared the news with their community. You can also check out the announcement from Softball Victoria.
A trusted Softball Victoria travel partner
We have been in Victorian softball’s corner for years, back through the One Softball days and now right alongside Softball Victoria as it runs its own game. The name on the door has changed. The people, the trust, and the number you call at 6am when a flight falls over have not.
Trust like that is not won in a single trip. It is built season after season, in the small things. Knowing which coach likes the squad checked in early. Remembering that a bag of catching gear cannot miss the connection. Picking up the phone on a Sunday because a draw has moved and forty people suddenly need to be somewhere new. It is unglamorous, detailed work, and it is the work we quietly love. That history is exactly why the partnership has carried across a change in how the sport is run without missing a beat.
That is what makes SportsLink Travel the Softball Victoria travel partner in the truest sense. Not a line on an invoice. Part of the state program.
What we take off their plate
Every season, Softball Victoria sends as many as 12 state teams out on the road. Flights to lock in. Rooms to fill. Transfers timed to the minute. Rosters that shift the week of departure.
We handle everything. Group flights booked and held, accommodation sorted close to the diamonds, coaches and buses timed around game day, and every change, reissue and late addition managed before it becomes a problem. One point of contact who knows your program, clear costs the association can plan around, and real people on call when a trip is already in the air.
It might be one team or all twelve, a weekend interstate or a full national campaign. We carry it from the first enquiry through to the last bag off the carousel back home. Coaches coach, players play, and we move the whole operation around the country so nobody has to give it a second thought.
Why a sports-only travel partner is different
Team sport does not travel like anything else. Draws move. Squads firm up late. Gear has to fly. Every dollar reports back to a member association. A regular agent meets that once in a while. We meet it before breakfast.
SportsLink Travel is Australia and New Zealand’s only sports-exclusive travel management business, and that focus is the whole point. Since 2002 it is why sporting organisations across the country hand us the logistics and get on with the winning.
For Softball Victoria it adds up to something simple. More players getting the chance to wear the state colours, and a lot less standing between them and the diamond. That is a partnership worth keeping.
